Pull off the black needle shield

Pull off the grey safety cap from red button

Place the needle end firmly against outer mid thigh at 90° angle with or without clothing

Press the red button so it clicks and hold for 10 seconds. Remove Anapen® and do not touch needle. Massage the injection site for 10 seconds.

Seek medical attention immediately

After Using Anapen®:

Place the black needle shield onto a flat surface.

There is no need to hold the black needle shield in place. Hold the used Anapen® in a fist and push the needle down into the black needle shield.

This action retracts the needle and syringe back inside the Anapen® device. Record the time Anapen® was administered and give the used Anapen® to an emergency healthcare professional.
